Could I just have anxiety problems

I know I think about things too much but lately I have been dwelling on stomach problems. I have been going to the doctor for the last couple months too. I also for the last couple months have thought I was pregnant because I thought I was having the symptoms. I am wondering if I am causing all the problems myself. I think about my symptoms everyday and google something anytime some new symptom occurs. For the last month I have been sad/tired. Last week I cried several days but really didn't have a reason to. The crying makes me feel somewhat better. I am taking a class online and last nig

Anxiety attacks before bed

Hi Matt. Those of us with anxiety often have triggers.  It sounds like you may have a fear of not being able to breathe when asleep. You may want to discuss this with your doctor to get a short acting anxiety medication to help you in the evening. Do some deep breathing exercises to help you relax, read, watch TV, anything to keep your mind occupied.  I think therapy would help as well to determine where this nighttime anxiety is coming from.  You won't stop breathing, and being at rest you will most likely breathe easier.  Even with a cold, we continue to breathe, and if we get too stuffy our mind will wake us to tend to the stuffiness, but we won't stop breathing. Talk to your prescribing doctor about this, you may need an increase in your medication or an anxiety medication, and therapy.  Most of us take the two as well, so you would not be alone! Good luck and take care!

7 year old daughter ''could this be autism'''

Your daughter is 7 years old now, correct? Does she speak in full sentences? Is she consistently using the toilet? My "normal" 10-year old daughter watches the same dvd over & over & only eats certain foods so that wouldn't concern me but if she's not behaving the way you believe a 7-year old should, you should have her seen by a doctor.

anxiety

Meds gave me a break from anxiety by removing the veil of fear that somehow had crept in. I felt normal all the time I was on it, but all those chills of fear just slowly disappeared in frequency until after a month or so they were virtually gone. After 7 months I went off the med and still feel great. So in answer to your question, I was able to recover from anxiety. Everyone is different, and some get very little relief from meds though. I had thought anxiety would never end until I went crazy, but that is before I took the meds, so I believe in the healing power of meds, in that they allowed me to live a normal life so I could get back my normal life. You should see a doc for a discussion of your situation, or better still a psychiatrist, since they have more experience. Perhaps their diagnosis will be to take some kind of therapy with a med if your anxiety is severe, or if your anxiety is moderate, maybe therapy alone will be the best choice. Reading up on therapies is a good idea as you might want to start on one right now. I don't know if anxiety can make you crazy, but you can have a frightening panic attack in places where there is no available help, so it is best to talk to a professional as soon as possible.
