Meds gave me a break from anxiety by removing the veil of fear that somehow had crept in. I felt normal all the time I was on it, but all those chills of fear just slowly disappeared in frequency until after a month or so they were virtually gone.
After 7 months I went off the med and still feel great. So in answer to your question, I was able to recover from anxiety. Everyone is different, and some get very little relief from meds though. I had thought anxiety would never end until I went crazy, but that is before I took the meds, so I believe in the healing power of meds, in that they allowed me to live a normal life so I could get back my normal life.
You should see a doc for a discussion of your situation, or better still a psychiatrist, since they have more experience. Perhaps their diagnosis will be to take some kind of therapy with a med if your anxiety is severe, or if your anxiety is moderate, maybe therapy alone will be the best choice. Reading up on therapies is a good idea as you might want to start on one right now.
I don't know if anxiety can make you crazy, but you can have a frightening panic attack in places where there is no available help, so it is best to talk to a professional as soon as possible. Read More At : ...
