Day 20(depression)

Hi, that depression is part of detox. Your brain hasn't made any authentic endorphins in so long, it needs time to "reset" if you will. This is the mental part that everyone refers to as the real work in sobriety. That's why aftercare is crammed down everyone's throat on here. Did you start anything yet? Now is the time.

flush them and jump.A month is nothing and if yuo keep going you will have a heavy duty addiction. Not just a mental addiction.Tapering does not make sense in your case.It will only lengthen your using time and get you more hooked. This is probably not what you want to hear but it is the truth. We have been over this and we know you can do it.Sorry if it sounds mean I didn't intend it to be.Just don't make this harder by waiting. You are right on the cusp of where this drug can really get it's teeth into you.

withdrawaling from roxicet/percocet

Hi Leelee.. Welcome to the forum... I hear you...Do you have the supplies to go through detox?  I'm guessing you know all the helpful stuff as you've been through this before.  I totally understand how you feel.  I have several chronic illnesses and pain and was on a whole wack of medication before I woke up and realized WTF? And c/t 37 days ago....It's possible...It really is.  But you need to have an alternative non-narcotic pain management plan in place.  Have you done any aftercare?  Meetings? Counselling?  Set yourself up for success this time...Every time you go back it will hurt more and you deserve to be happy and healthy....Just let us know what you need....Lu

withdrawal and no sleep

If the anti depressants are causing you that much trouble, and I have experienced a lot of the same side effects on SSRIs, I think some mood stabilizers and or anti psychotics could work well.  That is what worked for me.  All of us are different but I am on Lamictal (mood stabilizer) and Seroquel (anti psychotic)  They work well for me but like I said we all are different.  Trazadone is a descent anti depressant and sleep med.  Anyway I hope you can find what works for you.

Quick Taper off Effexor XR-Extended Relief

Hi Amanda, I hate to tell you this but coming off of Effexor is quite brutal.  Your doctor should put you on a taper.  If you experience the brain zaps and migraines just from missing a day, I don't think it will be pleasant for you. I am still taking Effexor but I have tried to taper off of it before and it was pretty bad. What is the new AD you are going on?

Not sure what to think...

Are you able to change doctors?  This would be my suggestion!  I don't know how tall you are, but 94 pounds is not much weight!  Having panic attacks is not fun....been there myself.  Have you tried any counseling?  Just a suggestion, but seems a new doctor and counseling would be helpful for you.  It's good to have someone you can talk freely with and receive helpful feedback.

Anxiety Disorder or Post Acute Withdrawal?! Anti Depressants, Xanax?! Help!

You ask a really good question, I long is too long for it to be w/d vs something else???  After reading above what you've come off of I would think that the majority of w/d's should have passed by now. Now, I dealt with anxiety and depression for months once I was completely clean but I had been taking my doc for roughly 7 years..... so I just figured mine just took longer, because I took them longer???  Once clean though, I did find that I have a very high anxiety level which is probably something I was trying to treat subconciously with my doc....But with time and working a program I have been able to put safeguards in place to help me.  It's been 90 days that you've been clean, so what are you doing for you to stay clean?  What are you doing to work out the mental aspects of addiction? You've worked on the physical, so how about the mental?
