Chiropractor Helped Me Yesterday With My Panic

I have had panic attacks off and on since 1995.  More off than on.....thank God!  When they first started they would typically come if I was overly tired, stressed out, dehydrated, or had drank too much caffeine or ate too many sweets.  After about six months of these horrible attacks, I sought out a psychologist and Cognitive Behavior worked wonders for me.  No medication whatsoever! Over the past six years I have had only a handful of panic attacks and was able to manage them without having to call 911, or rush myself to the hospital thinking I was hav

Severe PANIC ATTACK....

Yes I have had severe panic attacks that lasted much longer than 2 hrs. They are quite traumatic experiences and leave your body exhausted. Do you have anything to help curb your attacks, or do you just want to face them naturally? Do you think anything is causing them or are they completely random? I think I have had the mother of all panic attacks and I couldn't imagine where I would be if it weren't for benzodiazepines. Do you take something like a SSRI/SNRI for anxiety or depression. This could really help you. Those drugs don't help me, but I know it can stop anxiety and panic in many other people.

Anxiety or panic attack, terrible symptoms HELP!

Sounds like you don't want to run out of Ativan again!   It could have been rebound anxiety and some withdrawal symptoms mixed in there.   I would double check with your doc just in case in the future if this happens.  Heart attacks are nothing to play around with, so you don't want to assume it's not a cardiovascular problem in the future and think it is just anxiety.

Can anyone give me input on the drug cymbalta

I took cymbalta for anxiety and had an allergic reaction to it , but don't get discouraged easily if it does not work for you, because different medications work with different people. A lot of people have the same problems im on 100 mg. of Zoloft right now and it has not really helped much , so i'm going to try to switch. Just try different meds and don't be scared too don't read about all the bad side effects and things that can happen because it will just scare you and not all of it's true medication is there to help. I used to not leave the house, i wouldn't leave the house for 2 years straight. The worst thing you can do is let anxiety hold you captive anxiety is pretty much a piece of **** and it will exist as long as you feed into it, if you have a bad thought just tell yourself it's not real because it's not . Anxiety can only last a certain amount of time, and the most sensitive people have it because we constantly worry and stress and think too deep into things, try to relax and stay strong. Try cymbalta and if it does not work go onto the next!!!! Anxiety makes everyone feel crazy but bottom line is it cannot make you crazy , it's just your worst fears getting to you.

Has anyone tried this?

YEAHHHH!!!! You have found a key brother! Your body is building up adrenaline, which gives you that fight or flight feeling. We have all become so sedantery, atleast by comparson with our ancient selves, 'walking upright man' lol,, who befriended the dog because they both traveled and liked meat.. and they walked together through the 'dream time', before history. Thats a key friend,,, your running out the anxiety and fear. It DOES work doesnt it!? *Bows with much apprication and joy*

Zoloft 50 mg

Anxiety flare-ups are unpredictable and you won't get the full Z  benefit until 8 weeks, so it could just be more fear fueling your anxiety instead of the med. Be cautious and observant is all I can say, other than I would stick with the 50 until you see doc.
