Hi I'm just needing some advice for a while now I've not liked going out and really socialising. I don't like going out where people are drinking and I can't seem to enjoy myself. I don't really talk to the people that are there. For example yesterday went to bbq and people were there drinking and I just felt like I wanted to be at home . Nobody really spoke to me, it felt like I was in my own bubble and every1 was having fun around me. Finally got home and felt much better. I need to sort it out as my husband said I'm unsociable and I'm making our relationship hard

Are these the signs of Autism?

Have you tried talking to a psychiatrist or counselor?  Or finding some websites about autism and what signs are?  Maybe some of the other people can suggest some web sites... my brain is a bit fried from this past week to remember ones I checked out.  Some are better than others.  No matter what you are going through, finding out so if there's some sort of way to work it out or therapy or counseling or medication... well, anyways, if you have good health insurance you might try asking a doctor about it.  If it's affecting how you interact and ability to make friends and hold a job, then maybe looking into it is a good thing so you can figure out how to handle your emotions and make friends and all that.

the decision to stop

Hi. you know you're an alcoholic,don't you? I am also. and I have been sober 18 months now. I drank every night also, and like you isolated from people. I looked awful and felt tired everyday. I hated someone in my family telling me to stop. Same as you I would be picking up some after I decided I wouldn't drink again. I talked to my doctor, or more like she brought it up to me, about stopping and eventually told me" What do I need to do, roll you to get help in a wheelbarrow". My liver test was over double of what it should be and I got scared. She put me in for tests to see if I had damaged my liver Thank god I hadn't. I stopped drinking and went to a recovery program and learned the twelve steps of AA there  and also AA meetings . I learned how to live without drinking and how to care about being around people, be honest and how to behave like others do. I am very happy today, have a relationship and a nice life, thats better than its ever been. I know you can do it too, but first I suggest you be honest with your doctor and tell him everything, don;t be afraid and you will be lead in the right direction. If you shake when you don;t drink, you may be needing medical care to detox. I had it too. Talk to him in the morning, get up and go and don't fear, because life will eventually be so much better. Sobriety brings so many gifts, you'll see, and keep in contact and let me know how you are, O.K.

I think you're dealing with depression and anxiety which is a nasty combo of issues since they feed off each other like sharks. I would suggest a complete physical to rule out a medical cause then seek a diagnosis with a mental health professional. These problems are fixable, but you have to be pro-active. They very rarely just go away. I hope you will do what you have to so you can get your life back. I wish you the best Peace Greenlydia

what to do????

Well, the fact that you are doing therapy already is a good sign...there are other things out there that help, too, like exercising, proper diet, relaxation/meditation and yoga, and some of these have worked wonders for a lot of people. But, for some people, medication is a neccessary part of their recovery...I, personally, just started taking Celexa, (this is the beginning of my third week) and while I did have a few rough moments at first (dry mouth, some nausea, increased loss of appetite) I am still hopefull that it will help me deal with the problem by taking away the excess anxiety and allowing me to learn how to deal with it. Again, medication seems to be different for everyone...I have a lot of close friends and family who have suffered from anxiety & depression, and meds have helped a lot of them deal with their issues. Medication isn't neccessarily going to cure all of your anxiety, because some of your issues are behavioral when you suffer from anxiety, but you should know that for a lot of people medication combined with therapy really do help. Talk to your doctor or a psychiatrist to see what your options are.
