brain tumour but blood test normal

I am sorry you are going through this. And you are correct most test can come back normal and there can still be something wrong.  Not usually though. I had 2 tumors 1 they visual seen, after they biopsied it came back as malignant, they proceeded to give me all the test. Blood test, 24 hour urine test (?), P.E.T. Scan, and CAT Scan. Every test showed that I did not have cancer except the CAT scan.  When they went in to remove the cancer they found another tumor.  So they removed both, one 3cm and one 1cm. Even with two tumors my blood work was at 54 and the danger level was 97. Good thing I didn't give up and let it go.  My primary care doctor kept blowing me off saying it was because of the meds I was on that I was having the symptoms I was having. The ER doctor on a whim suggested further test , and that's how they eventually seen the tumor.  Of course my cancer was completely different then yours and we would have different symptoms. The one thing I always asked my doctor is if my number's were low when I did have cancer how are they going to know if it comes back. According to him my baseline could just be low or blah blah blah, all people are different, all numbers are different for different people.  I am going to have to have a CAT scan plus the blood work. And hope for the best. Yeah me. But like I said mine was a completely different cancer N.E.T. (tumors in intestine).  But if your not happy with the results your doctor has given you don't give up.  Be happy it might not be cancer, but make him give you a diagnosis to what it is. And don't let rest until they figure it out.  Also did he check your thyroid numbers out.  It can cause similar symptoms. Good luck.

weird feeling, dizzyness, brainfog

While the symptoms of dizziness, lightheadedness and feeling "weird," CAN be symptoms of anxiety, since you don't have any of the other classic signs, I'm thinking it's definitely time to revisit your doctor for a much more thorough exam of what's going on. Living with those symptoms for 10 months would cause most of us to feel anxious! If you see your GP and he/she can't find anything wrong, and this would be AFTER a really complete blood panel which would check your thyroid and fasting blood sugar levels..........please ask to be referred to a specialist. That could be an EENT (Ear, Eye, Nose & Throat) doctor, or a neurologist. You know that none of us here are doctors and we cannot diagnose you, but I'm thinking it's possible you may have some kind of chronic sinus issue, an inner ear problem, a visual disturbance...........any of these could cause the symptoms you're having. Not that GPs aren't capable, but sometimes it takes a specialist to locate deeper issues that a GP just isn't qualified to diagnose. And please have a specialist rule out any physical problems before anyone says your anxious or depressed and want to put you on medication. THAT diagnosis should be the absolute LAST possibility on the table before you start meds. I hope you'll let us know what they find out. Peace Greenlydia

head feels heavy and ears feel blocked but they are not.

Hi there Xenasara, After studying Audiology (which specialises with the ears), it sounds to me that you may have a problem in your inner ear, if your ears feel blocked and like they need popping, that sounds like the ear pressure in either one or both your ears are have fluctuated, the weird feeling when you swallow could also be a problem with your Eustachian tube which connects the back of the throat to your ears, as all are connected.  Problems in the ear can also cause headaches.  What i would suggest is if you visit your GP, and advise him/her that you would like to be referred to your local Ear Nose Throat department who will be able to assess your needs properly, and to hopefully evaluate why you are experiencing these problems.  I think that these physical problems you are having may be making you feel down or depressed, but whether this is the cause of the problems i doubt very much...  Stay positive, and i assure you if you go back to your GP they should be happy to assist! Haffeeza

What could be causing this weird feeling on my head? help I'm scared of brain tumor

You have hypochondria and this is just another episode. I also suffer with sinusitis and I know that it can cause a great many symptoms that don't seem related to our sinuses at all. My ENT said that when our sinuses are inflammed, the pressure that results radiates throughout our entire head. It can cause headaches, earaches, eye pain and a feeling that our eyes are bulging, watery eyes, sharp, shooting pains that can feel almost like migraine pain from the vasoconstriction of blood vessels, a feeling that it's difficut to swallow..........well, his list of woes went on and on. I have, in the past 30+ years experienced most of them. No brain tumors, no cancer......just a lousy "SDS." (Snot Disposal System) I've had X-rays and two MRIs which confirms my sinus cavities are too small and don't drain well. I've also had my sinuses "rotor rooted" a few times and I hope you never have to have that done! Imagine sticking a garden hose up your snout and turning it on full pressure. I wear a nose plug when I shower now thanks to that experience. A Netti Pot is great, but recent newpaper articles have scared most of to death about using them. Apparently some people were getting infected with brain eating bacteria. Cool, eh? They say now that it's perfectly OK to use them as long as you use distilled water. Anyway, perhaps a visit to an ENT will help you with your sinus problems, and you may want to give some serious thought to getting into some therapy to deal with your hypochondria. It's a really crappy way to live your life..........wasting so much time worrying about all your aches and pains and that's time you will never get back. Besides, if something is going to happen, it's going to happen whether you worry about it or not, so why not worry about it when (and if) it actually happens? Did you also know that the things we worry the most about never happen? It's true. Just a tip, stay OFF the symptom sites on the Net. Bad, bad place for hypochondriacs to hang out. Not good. No siree bob.   Don't lose any more time to hypochondriacal fear. Be the master of your own domaine! LOL Peace Greenlydia

ANXIETYY SCAREEEE

Yes, many of us with anxiety get those weird feelings. We can also have weakness, headaches and back and shoulder pain. There is a very long list of anxiety symptoms. If your not feeling better soon go back to see your Dr and ask for more testing. It does sound like anxiety to me, but I am not a Dr and can not diagnose you.

strange sensation in head

Hi, I am so sorry you are experiencing all these awful symptoms. I can relate, however, I have had most of them as well. They are awful. That "rush" really *****. It seems like the more we worry, the worse the symptoms become, especially if we are worried about a certain disease, then those symptoms come in to play. I suggest two wonderful books, they have been my life saver. "Hope and Help for your Nerves" and "Peace from Nervous Suffering" they are both by Dr Claire Weekes, you can get them from Amazon.com. They are written in language that is easy to understand, and, like I said, are true savers. I also pray lots, and this, too, helps to comfort me. I hope you start to feel better, living like this can be hell, but, it will pass. Oh, another suggestion, I recommend seeing a chiropractor, if the verterbrae in your neck are out and pinching nerves, you will experience all these symptoms, mine sure helped me. Also, adding a good, high potency "B" complex vitamin and multi-mineral complex and be of great help along with extra vitamin C. All these strengthen the adrenal glands which are the "nerve" glands.
