Guide :

Hi there. I suffer from ocd and anxiety, specifically about my health. I was wondering if anyone on her could share their personal experiences with me. I had my blood drawn from STD's in April and everything came back negative with my hep c antibody value at .12. I got retested in July and everything came back negative, but this time my hep c antibody value was at .18. I've had no known exposures- do not do drugs with needles, am not sexually active, haven't had any blood transfusions or surgeries, don't have any tattoos, nothing. I play sports, so I do get cuts on my body whe

I really need some advice...I cant keep living like this

Hello Beautiful and Welcome, First of all- I commend you for wanting to reclaim your life from the pills!  It is a brave and important step towards wellness.  Are you being prescribed your meds by a doc for pain?  If so, your doc can help you come up with the best taper plan.  If not, we can't give taper advice here on MH as it's against forum policy but I can say that the slower the better.  The issue is for most of us addicts is that tapering is too much of a mental game and we can't do it (myself included)  There is no way to avoid withdrawal entirely.  I can tell you that the fear of it is worst than the actual process itself.  There are many natural aids that can help you through detox.  Many, many members are on here everyday going through it- some even continue to work and care for children during their detox.  It is possible if you want to be free, and it sounds like you do.  Look up the Thomas Recipe (bottom right hand of this page) and stock up on healthy foods, gatorade, herbal teas, epsom salts, bananas, and immodium. Most importantly, be gentle with yourself and believe in yourself.  You can do this! Sending support... Lu

Please help..need support and advice on tapering from fellow addicts

Hi & Welcome..Well we are not allowed to give you taper advise on here..BUT it sounds like you have been down this road. So sad you started that good ol Pleasure part of the Brain back up. Been down this road to many times myself. I have over 15 months clean from a Long, Long drug/drugs using. If you do want to taper you need to give them to someone to hand them out to you. I can say that at each drop give your body/brain time to adjust..I can also say from my Experience from the past, that since you used so short term right now your Detox should not be as bad. You can go c/t and you might just have some Anxiety and Anxiousness. I DO NOT know your Health so this would play a Big part..Start drinking Lots of water..Get some Electrolyte & Protein powders. Make sure you are taking some good natural vit/min and such..Magnesium is the best detoxer of it all..It also helps to heal the Brain Chems and so forth. Now you will have to make some more changes and get some more Support so you do not go down this road again..Take it as a lesson and YOU now know you can not touch just "One" right now..I wish you the best. Keep checking your Post there are many Caring People out here. Bless

Hi. This condition is caused by bleeding of the tiny capillaries in the leg. For the typical healthy person it is a harmless disorder. My advice is: Wear support socks. Avoid standing for long periods of time, especially in hot weather. Apply Vitamin K cream. Rarely, this condition causes itching in which case use 1% hydrocortisone cream. You may wish to repost this question in the Dermatology Forum as I am only an expert on acne and I am not a doctor. Eloise.
