I am sorry that you are going through this right now.  I had a friend that suffered from vertigo for awhile and he was a pilot, so it really hit him hard when it affected his job as well.  In my opinion, health problems and anxiety can go hand in hand.  We often worry about a diagnosis and we can definitely 'magnify' the symptoms, in my experience.  Have you ever sought counseling for your anxiety?  Have you had anxiety issues in the past?

strange sensation in head

Hi, I am so sorry you are experiencing all these awful symptoms. I can relate, however, I have had most of them as well. They are awful. That "rush" really *****. It seems like the more we worry, the worse the symptoms become, especially if we are worried about a certain disease, then those symptoms come in to play. I suggest two wonderful books, they have been my life saver. "Hope and Help for your Nerves" and "Peace from Nervous Suffering" they are both by Dr Claire Weekes, you can get them from Amazon.com. They are written in language that is easy to understand, and, like I said, are true savers. I also pray lots, and this, too, helps to comfort me. I hope you start to feel better, living like this can be hell, but, it will pass. Oh, another suggestion, I recommend seeing a chiropractor, if the verterbrae in your neck are out and pinching nerves, you will experience all these symptoms, mine sure helped me. Also, adding a good, high potency "B" complex vitamin and multi-mineral complex and be of great help along with extra vitamin C. All these strengthen the adrenal glands which are the "nerve" glands.

jessicagk,  this is unusual at your age.   On the other hand,  you are a tiny bit young for schizophrenia.  That usually happens a couple years later. Do you have mental illness in your family?

Scared stiff please help

Brain Tumors are more common the older you get- and primary brain tumors are much less common than secondary brain tumors. Do you have any other symptoms like nausea/vomitting, vision problems, speech problems? Sounds like to me your neck is out of alignment- you might want to think about visiting a chiropractor. If your neck is out of wack it can cause symptoms similar to what you are experiencing. If you're worried I would call your doctor and make an appointment

Strange Headaches

Hey NicoleB36. Welcome to the forum. Any patients with a Lhermitte's sign presentation, along with other neurological symptoms, such as the ones you described, should have B12 deficiency ruled out. It's an easier investigation and a  possible underlying cause! Please note that B12 deficiency is often missed for a couple reasons. 1. It’s not routinely tested by most doctors 2 The lower lab range, considered normal  is too low at 200 pg/mL. In  most studies true levels of deficiency are underestimated. Many B12 deficient people have so-called “normal” levels of B12, but if we compare with Europe, the lower normal is 500-550 pg/mL! What is it in SA? Just curious. And your profile indicates male, yet your name female. Please clarify. Biology is in many cases of medical investigation, gender specific, regarding diagnosis and subsequently treatment. This is not intended as a substitute for medical advice. Best wishes. Niko

Worried That I Have Something Wrong with my Brain

I've never heard of confusion on THAT level being an anxiety symptom, but I certainly don't know everything.  I would advise you to see a clinical psychologist of some sort.  I think MRIs and CT scans are more for evaluating possible neurological problems, and if that's true, they're certainly not definitive for what you're talking about. Is this happening really often, and are you being treated for your anxiety/panic disorder?  If you're not being treated, then I'd try that and see if the problems go away.  That's a logical approach anyway. Anyway, I have no idea whether it's normal or not, but obviously you're worried about it and that alone is reason enough to have a doctor look into it. Good luck.

Anxiety or symptom?

HI. I have had anxiety for 6 months... but this last month I started to develop the head pressure just as you said. So I wouldnt worry about that. (Hard to do!, since I still have to conciously say "this is just anxiety" every time I feel it) I know someone posted this site before and I followed their advise and it is an amazing list of symptoms! I bet you find some things that you didnt realize were anxiety until you read it (I did!) www.anxietycentre.com. As for the hands I cant really help you because I have Raynauds ph. ever since I was a child, so my hands and feet are never a "normal" color or temperature.

Anxiety symptoms confused with STD´s symptoms?

Hello there, I approve the respond you got from the STD's forum. Anxiety can cause a lot of symptoms and especially where you focus your mind. Since you feel guilty and think about STD all the time maybe your mind may be playing tricks on you. Have you ever heard of psychosomatic pains? I think it might applies to you. You must free your mind of what you have done and what should be done if you wanna see any improvement. Anyway please not that i'm not a doctor and it is a good idea to get tested to STDs and consult a doctor. If you see your situation getting worse then it might be a good idea to also consult a therapist. Best regards, M4
