Anxiety Advice (Nighttime)

Unfortunately panic attacks can strike at any time of day or night; that is one REALLY frustrating things about them in my opinion.  Can they come from good stress?  Sure they can; but they can come from no stress as well in my opinion.  As far as them happening at night, how do you deal with panic attacks during the day?  If it works, why not try to apply it at night even if you wake up panicing?   Have you suffered from anixiety for awhile?  Have you been in talk therapy?  Keep us posted!

Are these symptoms just "in my head" panic attacks, or am i dying?

You ever imagine that you could have related one to the other. You do sport. So the heart will beat faster. The pulse will rise. As it does with all sports. But you could see these things as classic panic symptoms. So instead of the mind thinking ' it is only the sport that has me this way ', it is thinking ' no, these are panic symptoms '. Panic is much like energy built up within us. Some people exercise to get rid of it. Bit of a burn off of all that energy. I just think that subconsciously you might be linking one to the other. I mean, they have done all these tests on you. Came back negative. That shows you are a healthy person. Did they do a stress test? Have you do a bit of exercise for them and see what reaction it has on the body. Just to see if it is only stress. But that's just my opinion on it. Others may differ.

accepting anxiety as a diagnosis

First, to your chest pain. Have you given thought that this very well may be muscular pain. A great book, worth every penny: "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief, Second Edition" by Clair Davies, Amber Davies, and David G. Simons If you can afford it, have you given thought to visiting a chiropractor? As for anxiety, have you given thought that it may very well be the fault of neuro-transmitters? I use to doubt this but as time moves on, beginning to think that anxiety, in spite of a good life...could very well be due to neuro-transmitters. At any rate, fear is very debilitating. I think underneath the anxiety...suspect we'd find a great deal of fear. Stress/anxiety can wreak havoc on the system and the priority is, to get it under control. Best, ~Kate

When mine happen, I get a racing heart beat, feeling like I can't breathe, feeling like im going to pass out, etc. I have no idea what to tell you, other than panic attacks seem to just come on at random. It will probably take a lot of time for you to get over them completely and forever. Keep doing what your doing and im sure it will ease up soon enough. Keep me posted. klonopin versus xanax

I have taken both and in my experience the Klonopin takes way to long to kick in for me up to an hour. They put me back on xanax as I only take it when needed and right now that's not that often. From what I have been told the Klonopin takes longer to build up in your system. It may work faster for you this was just my experience. Good luck.

Anxiety, Panic attacks, Effexor Lexapro

Medications will affect people in different ways, but I am a big proponent of medications like Lexapro as long as it is combined with talk therapy...in my opinion, only by gaining the long term knowledge about why you are anxious can you get long term relief from this.  I am glad that you are seeing a psychiatrist; they usually have much more knowledge with these kinds of medications.  When I started on a medication similar to Lexapro, I did have some side effects in the beginning, but they went away after about a month or so...keep us posted!

Why doesn't my Doctor help me with meds?

Wellbutrin really isnt for anxiety..in fact it will in about99% of cases CAUSE anxiety, it is a mild stimulant, and that is what is probably keeping you up at night. I have a question for you Why are you still taking it if abviously its not working? I suggest weaning off the wellbutrin, then take your total daily dose of Klonopin, take half mornings, half nights. Give it like 2 weeks, I am 100% positive youll feel better. I also suggest that you switch MDs for your mental problems, because I dont think your current one has allot of knowledge on these types of drugs. He was right on the Buspar though, but it would probably work better for you then what the wellbutrin would Yea there limited, Medicare *****, lol you know that
