An ongoing problem from the abuse?

(Sorry aboutvthe backstory) About 3 years ago I was in a horrible relationship with a boy who enjoyed breaking my heart very sadistically. Upon our last break up I was completely distraught and during my break at work decided to get high. A guy (who's name and face I've completely put away) had been a friend of mine and begun to flirt. I think he realized I was high and took complete advantage of it. I had gone to clean my work restroom and he followed me in. My first reaction was he was playing and with my mind fuzzy I couldn't help but laugh. Next thing I know I was pushed agains

You definitely need another doctor, the one you went to is not worth the price of admission as is often the case. This could be really serious, and to be safe, you must have a proper diagnosis and that cannot happen without all of the appropriate testing. Whatever you know the Substance abuse isnt the problem?

tttrra- I should probably stop answering because this is getting frustrating. But, you are still here so I will try. Also, stay on ONE post, it's easier, and everyone will know your backstory. Why are you asking for help on a new post w/ the same questions? And those questions have already been answered several times over. You just have to walk into a meeting, that's life. Life can be scary. You won't die. But you will if you continue to make excuses and not change a thing. I'm not sure what you want. Do you want to just vent? That's the impression I'm getting.

Hi Tom Welcome to the forum.. I'm really glad you found us With your agoraphobia it must get difficult at times.. well you definitely found the right place for your questions.. If you have the discipline to taper I say go as slow as you can We are not allowed to give out advice on a taper schedule but I think I'm safe in saying when you make a drop stick with that drop till you become accustom to it then drop again Slow and steady wins the race.. I read that expression and it fits :) If you scroll to the bottom of this page you will find the Amino acid protocol.. many have used this and say the vitamins have helped a lot and even after detox. boost energy and just helps will a overall better feeling.. BPD in 55+

Talk therapists are good in addition to medication and you often don't have to tell your whole life story but what specifically troubles you so you can work on recovery goals. What is also good for bpd is cognitive behavioral therapy. Sometimes that seems more impersonal but if people don't want to discuss everything that has gone on in their life but some very specific practical recovery goals that might be the right person. Give it a chance. Anything that seems important is worth disclosing and talking about but don't feel pressured. Working with a therapist takes a while to build up a working relationship of trust just like any other professional.
