Is this considered abuse?

Hello. I have thought about this a long time, never told anyone, as I am not sure if this constitutes abuse or not. I am a female on my thirties now. When I was about 9 or 10 years old, one night I was watching TV with my dad at my parent`s bedroom, just the two of us. I don`t remember whether I was shirtless or just with my t-shirt held up, but I remember him touching my chest  (not developed  still) and nipples in circles, slowly all the way around my nipples. In one point my mother showed and was about to enter the room, and he stopped. I hate to say this, but I also re

hydromorphone and oxymorphone

I know hydrommorphone is dilaudid and is used for extreme pain.  I don't know if it is more or less abused than others.  I think hydrocodone is sooo abused because it is overprescribed by MD.s. Anyone know what the othern names are for oxymorphone. All opiates and if made available, will be abused!!! I think you get very similar highs from all of them.

I am 13 and I want to know if I am being emotionaly abused?

To me, it sounds like your adoptive mother has other things that are bothering her and she is inappropriately taking it out on you.  This is what I recommend - When you go to school tomorrow, ask to speak to the school counselor about this issue.  The counselor would be in a better position determining what is going on.  The counselor may want to speak with your mother.  Regardless, these behaviors should be addressed.  It is good that you brought this issue up for discussion in this forum.

hmmmmm......kidney stones

It is not a relapse if you are taking them for legitimate pain. As long as you don't abuse them. Take as directed. If you are anything like me I am dyslexic when it comes to the labels. If it says "take one every six hours for pain" I read it as take six every hour for pain". That is addict thinking so be careful. Do you have anyone to hold them for you?

Is this considered abuse?

I wouldn't trust him around my daughter.  "Abuse" often describes something traumatic, but this was morally and sexually wrong even if you didn't feel it as painful or frightening.  You were a child who didn't know anything, he was an adult who definitely knew what he was doing was wrong, it was up to him not to do what was wrong.  He crossed one line by touching a child sexually and also crossed another by doing this to his own child.  In short, he violated the law, the incest taboo, and the rules of normal sexual behavior for adults. If you have no other memories of sexual things he did, it sounds like he managed to control himself.  But I would never trust him with a child.

percocet abuse and hep c

Yes,,it will really mess up your liver as percocet has tylenol/ acetaminophen in it and your liver is already compromised. You will need to have liver function tests freq to determine if any damage is occuring. Stopping the pills will help your liver. You really need to discuss this with your MD if possible. I do not know of any safe over the counter cleansing things for the liver. I would be very cautious using those. You dont want to upset a liver that already is upset from the Hep C. Hope this helps some and I wish you the best~Bkitty

When is it considered abuse?

Welcome my dear.  You are indeed living with an addict....And it will only get worse.  I'm sorry, I understand how painful this is.  The very best and really, the ONLY thing you can do is take care of yourself.  If you want to remain in this relationship you must confront him about his drug use with VERY strong boundaries about what you will do if he does not get clean.  You will find amazing support at Alanon or NarAnon.  You can also post on the Living with an Addict Forum here on MH (where I suspect this post will get moved to) You can only live YOUR life as you said.  You will not be able to change or control his behaviour, only the choices that YOU make in regards to how you react.  It is truly hard, but you are only feeding his addiction by turning a blind eye.  And soon, you will become just as sick from his addiction as he is. There is no way to have a healthy relationship with someone that is caught in active addiction.  He is going to have to get good and honest with himself and those he loves and do some real recovery work before any relationship is possible. I know where you are coming from...And sadly I have been on both sides of the coin as the co-dependent and the addict.  You can only take good care of yourself....The rest takes care of itself. Hugs, Lu

It is very difficult for me to believe or understand why anyone would diagnose a 2 year old with ODD and place him on psychotropic meds for years for this condition.  Unfortunately, I think what you are currently seeing side effects, possibly permanent, to these strong medications.  My only recommendation at this point would be to have him evaluated by perhaps another pediatrician to find out if the behaviors you are witnessing is a direct result of years of medication usage, if any of these behaviors are in fact permanent, and treatment alternatives.
