Is it safe to take Doxycycline when you have ulcers and GERD?

I have been prescribed Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for blepheritis. I am now finding that I am very nauseous and sometimes feel like I may throw up after taking this drug. Does anyone know if this is dangerous for anyone with my issues to take this medication? I am on Carafate 2 x daily, Protonix 2x daily, and a Zantac 1 at bedtime, from my gastroenterologist. I welcome any help. Thank you.

Suggested Questions And Answer :

Is there anyone who can successfully do this?

Since, I'm assuming, you're under a doctor's care, and are getting meds from the doctor, then my suggestion would be that you tell your doctor that although you have legit pain issues you've found yourself "dependent" on the drug (you can avoid using the addict word, or, better still, tell your doc the truth - whatever is most comfortable for you). Self medicating for any reason is very dangerous, as you're finding. You really need to get your doctor on board. My opinion. And by the way, hundreds of addicts have stopped using and are now living life in recovery. K

Lung nodule, heart regurgitation, joint pain- Autoimmune?

Hi, I found your post while searching for "autoimmune lung pain," but I was shocked to read your list of current symptoms (at least, as of this March) because they are practically the same as mine, and I was on Aldara when the symptoms began. I used Aldara for 12 weeks and I have read story after story of the damage it causes. I am scheduled for a biopsy this week, having been told that I may have either lymphoma or pancreatic cancer. I am a 31 year old female. I'm curious if you are feeling better, and what you learned in the course of trying to sort out what was going on? I hope that all is well with you. I would appreciate anything you can share. -M

Is it safe to take Zoloft with Vicodin or Percocet?

Eh, why are you taking someone elses vikes/perks? I was on zoloft for years during my hydro addiction. It didn't cause brain damage but opiates dull the effects of everything. I didn't know even know at the time if the zoloft was working or not.

Both husband and wife are on uppers. Who prescribed their medications? What are the diagnoses that determined the treatments? Or are they getting this stuff on the street? If the wife uses Adderall (speed) for energy, that suggests she does not have ADD.

Taking Seroquel and fly by plane

It really shouldn't be a problem at all, unless YOU were the one flying the plane.  LOL It's not like this is a med medication that you are afraid of how it will affect you, you've already been taking it a while. If you aren't sure, just run it by your doc...he/she may tell you to take your dose at a different time.  Honestly, though, it shouldn't be an issue.
