How do I get rid of minocyclin bruises?

I am currently 18. I was on minocyclin from when I was about 13-16. I had developed bruises ALL over my legs that would not go away. I also had discoloration in my gums. I also bruised like a banana, I would develop a dark painful bruise from barely anything. As soon as I did research and found out it was the minocyclin that caused the bruising I stopped taking it. After about 2 1/2 years of being off the medication my bruises are still here, and I still bruise very easily. Is there any medication/dermatologist recommendations to get these bruises to go away? I don't even want to wear shor

Blackheaads, Dry skin

Hi. Blackheads are difficult to get rid of. I'm not a fan of these adhesive strips. Instead use a good exfoliator like Perfectly Clean by Estee Lauder. I use this after their cleanser for normal/combination skin which gives a lovely soap-and-water clean feeling without over-drying. The exfoliating will also help with your dry skin. Moisturisers will be more effective if applied after exfoliating. Use one which is non-acnegenic to avoid breakouts. Eloise x

Unexplained bruises

Hi! A high plasma viscosity is caused by infection and inflammation. This may be seen in lymphoma and myeloma as well. It can also be due to tissue damage. So if the inflammation is affecting your blood vessels then yes, this can cause easy bruising. Vasculitis or inflammation of blood vessels can be due to autoimmune diseases such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis or due to lymphoma or myeloma or due to several other conditions such as Wegener's granulomatosis, giant cell arteritis (temporal arteritis), polyarteritis nodosa, Behcet's disease, Kawasaki disease, cryoglobulinemia, Takayasu's arteritis, Henoch-Schönlein purpura, and Churg-Strauss syndrome. Please consult your doctor regarding this ASAP. Sometimes taking birth control pills could also be the cause but since you have high plasma viscosity, please consult your doctor immediately. Hope this helps. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
