I will confess to pinching some of them only to have a white solid secretion, doing this eventually makes that one fade I think. I normally use a mild papaya soap cleanser and a natural apricot scrub. On occasion I use either a neem or argan oil mud mask. The masks seem to help for about an hour before the bumps make a reappearance. I don't wear makeup every day or anything.  I do

Indocin will make it worse, if this is indeed the case. I'll look into your situation further when I get a chance. Best wishes. Niko

Will I have to Stay on birth control forever to keep acne away?

You may have to have repeat courses of medication for as long as you are prone to acne. However, Yaz is not the only option. I recommend Diane35 as a better birth control pill to clear acne. Oral oxytetracycline is also very helpful. If you would prefer a topical treatment, Differin is very effective and well tolerated. Eloise x

Tiny bumps all over face

Hi. Doxycycline and Differin are both very effective. A regime which combines an oral antibiotic and a topical retinoid will really help her. These little bumps may be a reaction to the salicylic acid in Proactiv. Benzoyl peroxide can also be irritating so maybe a bland cleanser like La Roche-Posay would be better. Taking an anti-androgen birth control pill like Diane35 will also help. She will be able to take this even if she is not sexually active as it is not prescribed solely for contraceptive reasons, it is for women who have acne or excess hair growth. Reassure your daughter as stress will make her acne worse. Best Wishes, Eloise x

Levaquin for acne?

Hi. Levaquin is prescribed for skin infections due to Staphylococcus aureus. It is not  prescribed for longer than 28 days. Although tetracycline antibiotics can cause oral or vaginal thrush, erythromycin is less likely to. This can be taken 500mg twice daily for acne. Acne is caused when hormones stimulate the sebaceous glands. As you have had a hysterectomy, discuss with your doctor whether synthetic hormones would benefit you. `Differin (adapalene 0.1%) is considered one of the best topical treatments. It is even more effective when used in conjunction with oral antibiotics. Eloise.

Life long pain for 3rd degree burns

Hello, I am very sorry to hear this but the hot sensations are definitely due to neurological causes and may be it is the damage to the nerves that is causing this. These can be due to heat burns, metabolic disorders like diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism. They can also be due to peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency or malnutrition. Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the symptoms are gone or not. In case the symptoms persist then please consult a neurologist as it can be due to some neurological disorder. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
