Can this be ignored?

I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in 2007.  I had 33 lymph nodes removed, 7 of which were positive.  I have had lymphedema in my left arm since 2008.  I have noticed a knot on top of my shoulder near my neck, above my collar bone on my left side.  It is about the size of a ping pong ball.  I have asked my oncologist if this is a lymph node or just the swelling moving higher, but I never get a straight answer, just a "hmmm..."  It concerns me that this could be a problem being ignored.  Any suggestions?

Ignoring palpitations/extra beats???

Did you do any heart test before? I got over being scared of heart palpitation when I done a full heart test & found nothing. if you still get scared of them AFTER you do the heart test then you need to ask yourself the question of why you think they're dangerous? since your heart is ok. Also, usually if you're an anxious person, you'll have some quick anxious thoughts before the heart palpitations start, try to avoid or get yourself busy doing something straight away once these thoughts arrive. intrupt the thought by thinking or doing anything & try to put your focus on that thing. You can research relaxation breathing techniques on google & there are plenty but for me they decreased in pattern when firstly I done my heart exam & stopped worrying about having any heart condition or heart attack & they disappeared when I succeeded to intrupt my anxious thoughts when I first get up the morning. My pattern was around 4-5 times/day, then once a day when I wake up & now its gone. I'm not a dr & pls make sure you check first that you don't have any medical issue before thinking that its only anxiety. cheers

My sister discovered a lump in her breast

any breast lumps should be looked at first by your gp, if needed you will be sent to hospital, i discovered a lump under my breast whilst in the bath. i went to my gp. then sent on to hospital. i had the triple assesment mammo (didnt hurt) ultrasound and fine needle (all painless) while there i was told i needed a biopsy done using anisthetic, (rubbed over area) which i can say was only painfull after!! when anisthetic wore off, but not unbearale! i have a phyllodes tumour which is very rare i have to go for a second operation to remove some more tissue to see if it comes back clear!!  i have been told these tumours can grow big. i am glad i went when i did, these and any breast lumps should be looked at. they will not disapear and might even grow bigger, and you will in the end still have to go to the doctors. i am really scared of hospitals, but if needed you couldnt be in better hands. please dont ignore this im glad i didnt best of luck! i am 43 on my own with 2 children.

Waiting is the Hardest Part.........

Okay Mark - DEEP Breath, just breathe.  Deep breaths through the day, step into another room when you need a second to reflect and remain calm. You are so in tune with your body and nature don't forget what 5 minutes of quiet reflection can do to really bring a little peace back into crazy surroundings.  You can push through this - I know you can brother. You have this spirit in your posts that have given me strength, especially in my beginning days - FIND and hold that spirit to pull you through. You are so right about the physical w/d being a skirmish in the war - I'm learning that every day.  We've dulled our connectedness with nature, with the divine with these pills.  Now that I'm beginning to get my insight and intuition back again it spurs me on to move ahead.  Guard the divinity that lives within you.  Peace!

Is this breast Cancer?

It's impossible to even venture a guess as to what your symptoms might represent over the internet without benefit of examination. I will say that I think you should have made an appointment months ago when you first noticed these many symptoms. After this length of time I doubt that 3 months will make a significant difference but some type of treatment certainly would have been beneficial as this may be some type of infectious process. I would make every attempt to get an earlier appointment OR go to an Urgent Care Facility (non-military) for an evaluation.   Regards ....
