Scared to eat, Weakness, Depressed

I think you're probably weak from not eating and the anxiety. I went through something almost exactly the same and I'm still recovering from it. Everytime I ate I would have diarrhea (sorry to be so graphic) and so I became terrified to eat. I would go like 3 days at a time without eating. I would get incredibly nauseous after eating because I would think about getting sick and so I would feel sick. Even after I stopped having bathroom emergencies after eating I had already trained my mind to feel sick after eating. I started eating bland easy on the stomach food to start. It consisted of lots of saltines, white rice, ramen noodles, and bananas. After I started being ok with those foods I eventually branched out to more normal food. Its taken awhile but after dropping to 104lbs during the worst time of my anxiety I'm finally back up to 112lbs. Its been about 8 months since it started but now I'm eating pizza, lasagna, coffee...foods that I was terrified to eat before. Seeing a therapist also helped with my anxiety about eating as well as xanax as needed for the horrible panic attacks I was getting that would make me nauseous. Try keeping yourself busy while you eat and after you eat so you don't think about being sick. Sometimes ill read the paper while I'm eating to distract my mind from the food. I still have days where I'm afraid to eat but I finally realized that not eating was making me feel a lot worse than eating. If you do a search I'm sure you can find some of my posts of mine about my fear of eating and the really great advice I received from some of the members on here. If you need anymore help you can email me on here. Its difficult but it is possible to train your mind back to not thinking that you'll be sick after food.

Sudden nausea, muscle weakness/fatigue

Hi! I am sorry to hear that you are going through so much. The symptoms could be due to a transient ischemic attack, sudden hypoglycemia, sudden drop in blood pressure, mild seizure, electrolyte imbalance, or due to postural hypotension. It can also be due to vitamin B or vitamin D deficiency. You need blood tests like brain MRI (maybe), EEG, blood tests for electrolytes, vitamin B and D and sugar, and blood pressure monitoring. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!

All of these tests

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum. It is very possible what they r looking for is chiari related, but a diff condition like syringomyelia or tethered cord.... Many with chiari notice the symptoms coming and going as they do cycle and it is possible that u r in a flare right now, and it could have been ur pregnancies that triggered it or a fall, a bumpy car ride a MVA...even a hard cough or sneeze.   Do make sure ur Dr is a true chiari specialist and is checking u for all related issues as sleep apnea, disk issues, ICP, and ehlers-danlos, as they can affect how u feel and heal post op if u r considered a surgical candidate.

I thought I'd be feeling a lil better by day 4

I'm on day 5 of coming off methadone and hydrocodone for breakthrough. I'm posting because I can't sleep. I think, for me it's a little early to expect to much. I've been on lots of opaites for 7 years. I'm just beginning to really grasp how much damage I did. Please hang in & be patient, lol. That always seems funny coming from me, I couldn't go anytime without popping something into my body. Try to stay busy. I've been watching all 6 Star Trek movies.  Stay connected. Hang in. GOD Bless.

relapsed for 3 days now trying again.

Went back and reread some of your threads and comments and came across this one you posted on day 10:   I definatly never wanna go thru this again EVER!!! Its like a nightmare I cannot wake up from. Ive been on Vitamins and the L Tyrosine. Im trying to move forward and staying commited. Its hard being alone with kids all day every day. But Ive made it this far. I know I have to remember its going to get better. What do you think caused you to relapse?   Did you cut all your sources and access?   How much and what did you take?   Sometimes relapse can be a learning experience such as reminding us of the horror of wd as you posted before.   Maybe they won't be as bad this time based on what you took and for how long?
