Pain meds with anti-depressants

I take flexeril and also Lamictal among quite a few other meds. I have had no problem. When you go to the doctor always have an updated list of dosage and names of meds with you to keep your doctor informed of meds you are on. Drs. check that before presc. meds. Since you are not sure about the safety of what you now take, call your pharmacist, tell what you take and ask if this is ok. Normally, if you get all your meds from the same pharmacy, they have it on their computer and set on drug reactions, so they know or they ck their records on you to know. I keep an updated list on my computer to print out for surgical proceedures and a list in my date book for my drs, etc. that I keep in my purse. That way I always have it with me. List any over the counter things you take such as herbal things, allergy, asperin, cough/cold meds, or anything else. Don't forget if you are put on an anti-biotic or something for a short time, even eye drops, to add that to your updated information if a doctor needs to give you a different med. (Some medications have on the information list to tell a dr or pharmacist you have taken that med even if you have finished it. Some meds stay in your system for a month or so.) Always show the pharmacist your list of meds and get an ok before buying anything over the counter to take.

Penis deteroating....cancer?

Hi! In all probability the change in skin color is due to use of hand sanitizer. This may have caused some chemical dermatitis. The other possibility is penile cancer. However, this is less likely given the fast advancement of symptoms. However, confirmed diagnosis is only possible after skin biopsy. Smoking, diabetes, and low blood supply to the penis can all cause similar skin color. Other than this, complete STD clearance can only be given when tests at 3 and 6 months post exposure come negative for STD especially HIV. If there are sores or warts, then these need to be biopsied. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

tenex not the demon made out to be by RCA7591

Yes I don't know which post you are referring to but of course we don't provide our own advice although sometimes the links to the clinically accurate sites on some forums can be of help but a psychiatrist does have the ultimate say. I was on Tenex for spasms from advanced tardive dyskinesia and it functioned as a mood stabilizer as well. I switched to Clonidine because its stronger acting and available in patch form but both have been noted to be helpful on a variety of psychiatric disabilities including ADD/ADHD. That said alpha blockers are cardiac medications and have a strong side effect profile but I am aware of them and its not a problem but when I was starting them I visited the neurologist regularly and had a blood pressure machine at home. Its good to update people on medications but we shouldn't second guess anyone's provider. I agree.

Its possible that the communication between your boss and the company didn't happen.  You certainly have the right to ask questions.  You could nicely ask your boss about it or check with your human resources person.  The key word here is (if they keep giving you the run around) the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Its possible they may be in violation of it.  You might want to google it to see what it is about.  I do know that lawyers just love to go after companies in possible violation of it.
