Effexor XR withdrawal after 3 weeks?

First, get a psychiatrist.  At least get a new doctor.  There is no reason Zoloft won't work because Lexapro stopped working -- the only ssri I know of having this effect is Paxil, because it is just too strong for anyone but the desperate.  (Not that it works better -- it's just stronger on the brain).  The Effexor is bothering you most likely because it's also targeting norepinephrine, basically adrenalin, so it's not usually used for primary anxiety.  I'd get a new doc and try the Zoloft, but don't quit the Effexor abruptly -- taper off slowly.

Overian cyst with increased area of exchogenecity within cyst

Hi.  Your gynecologist is right when she said that ovarian cysts are normal in pregnancy and are usually corpus luteum cysts. The "area of increased echogenicity within the cyst" just means that there is a denser (probably solid) material found inside the cyst.  Fluid material inside a cyst lets sound waves pass and does not produce echoes (not "echogenic").  Fluid appears dark or black on ultrasound.  Solid material is the opposite, is echogenic and appears white on ultrasound.  Corpus luteum cysts may contain a mixture of fluid and solid elements so this finding is not abnormal.

I have been on Fluoxetine for 8 weeks

I am a proponent of taking medications as long as it is combined with talk therapy.  Remember, there is no magic pill that will cure your anxiety.  Only by talking it through with a mental health professional and learning about it will you gain any long term relief in my opinion. SSRIs like Prozac and Celexa affect different people in different ways.  I experience side effects when changing dosage, starting, or stopping them.  Anxiety can also play a roll in how you feel while taking these because you are already nervous.  You are doing the right thing by staying in consultation with your doctor.  If the side effects are not too bad, why not give it a chance?  It is all up to you though; keep us posted!

Zoloft - increase in dose - how long to take effect?

yeah...i've heard of people who take 200mg daily...so 25mg really isn't high. i would guess it would take a couple weeks of being at 50mg to know if it's starting to work or not. most people get frustrated at the ammount of time it takes to find the dose that works for you...but you just have to give it time.

Zoloft increased anxiety

Have you expressed your concerns to your doctor?  Were you originally nervous about taking the Zoloft?  I know it increased my anxiety when I started Zoloft and it took about a month or so for me to notice the benefits of it. Whenever I start, stop, or adjust the dosage of Zoloft I notice some increased anxiety. Medications like Zoloft affect us all differently and sometimes finding the right SSRI like it can take some time. I would go discuss any concerns that you have with your prescribing doctor.  Keep us posted!
