prognosis

Hi, How many weeks has it been? Could you be a little more elaborate about the past history? Well, this needs to be discussed with your specialist in detail. Some comments that i can share - the prognosis is in fact not very good - a malignant pleural effusion means that the cancer is advanced or stage 4 and the duration of survival is usually short in such cases; secondly - pleural effusion will cause shortness of breath which will be aggravated by the pregnancy. Bone secondaries also make the prognosis grave - which would mean weakness and bone and joint pains which would again be increased by the pregnancy too. You should discuss all the features with your doctor, as he is the best judge in such a situation - being well versed with the clinical history and investigations and examination of the patient. Good luck.
