Question about Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction

I was told I have this 'dysfunction' in my left hip. Had the pain for months before thinking it was just a sore hip or I moved wrong and sprained it. I had the Sacroiliac Joint therapy performed today. I was told to follow up with my pain mgmnt. Doctor in 6 weeks. Wondering if any one else has suffered from this horrible hip pain, and had the procedure done with the injection therapy of a cortizone shot and how long ( if any time ) did you get relief from this being done. Thanks!

Back and SI Joint Pain

your issues may be myofascial. I had all the same pain you describe-- worse in my neck and shoulders but occasionslaly in the hip areas and low back also. It was the MUSCLES, not the bones causing my problems. research Jolie Bookspan and John Barnes (Myofascial release) see if your symptoms fit. Many times joints are in dysfunction because the muscles are pulling them into dysfunctional positions. good thing is muscles are fixable with steady consistent self treatment.

Have SI joint dysfunction, but now hip acting up?

Hi there! Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include fractures, dislocation/ subluxation, ligament/ tendon/ muscle injuries, degeneration, loose bodies, growths/ masses etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
