When's the Right Time for a 2nd Opinion?

Hi. There really is no rule as to when to seek a second opinion, or the timing in seeking a second opinion.  If you feel you are not satisfied with what your doctor is suggesting, you can always seek a second opinion from another doctor.  The medical community encourages that.   As for your question on liver metastasis, chemotherapy or resection can be reasonable options.  There are criteria before a liver metastasis can be considered resectable.  If resectability is questionable, chemotherapy is the next option.  Radiofrequency ablation is also an option for the liver metastasis treatment provided the criteria for doing it are met. Treatment is usually started after about 4 weeks from surgery.  By this time, the wound has healed properly, and the body already has recovered from the stress of surgery. Hope this helps.

Who does she think she is??  Her boss, your doctor, needs to know this ASAP.  She has no right to over rule a doctor and leave you hanging.  I would call and INSIST on talking to the doctor, and get this done.  One day is too long to wait because a secretary is making decisions.  Good luck. Katie

what is the best anti anxiety pill in your opinion need help??

Namaste, As you probably know there are a number of anti-anxiety medications available as well as some anti-depressants which have anti-anxiety components to them. The only way to find which is best for you is literally, to try them all. That said, I think that's rather unrealistic and if hving success with a particular medication, I wouldn't make a change just for the sake of making a change. Personnally, I take one of the oldest anti-anxiety medication around and that is diazepam. I take 10 mg. 4 times a day and find it keeps both my GAD and my panic attacks in check.
