What is the "Average" Recovery time after Surgery?

Hi.....we do have a thread here "how many Zipperheads"....many members have discuss their recovery on that thread. I posted my info with my PFD in my journal in my profile page....I am only 2 months post op and I know I am not ready for a job......I am not driving yet. Everyone is diff.....and it all depends on how the surgery goes. I have no idea what kind of job u have, but if it is stressful and u r on ur feet I doubt u would be able to go back full time after 3 months.......if it was a less stressful position sitting down..maybe part time.....as I said, we r all diff......only u will know. Right after surgery I had a false sense of feeling great....it was the meds....and we do have to get off them.....then reality sets in....I am better and so glad I had the surgery, but I know I am still healing and must be patient...... Still looking for my new normal "selma"

Is this anxiety or something more serious?? Pleas help

May sound obvious but the best thing anybody can say is go see a doctor and tell him how you are feeling and have a full medical. If it comes back negative, only then do we start thinking anxiety. Rule out the rest first. They can all be symptoms of anxiety. But they can all be symptoms of many other conditions too. Hence a medical and then start looking at your options from there.

Can a sore inner ear and headaches be neck muscle related?

Hi there! Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include head and neck infections such as upper respiratory tract infections, inflammations, referred pain from other regions, neuro-muscular/ vascular issues etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a  primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialists care may be sought. Hope this is helpful. Take care!

Neck pain

good day im a physio and from what i see in the report you should try number 2 acupunture is a very hard and long winded couse and at the end you may find that your not finding it any better. Try sleeping with your collar on at night helping your neck from moving as your body moves more when sleeping. also i would ask you to see a physio. as you should look in to trying to get some light movement and some slow exs may help. i would go see a doc and ask him for pain killers rember its you in pain not him hope this helps

Can anxiety cause this?

Yes I would definitely get an exam very soon.  A lot of your symptoms are the same symptoms I get with anxiety,  and yes it will cause symptoms even when you don't feel anxious. I get all besides the breadth pain,  suicidal thoughts, and facial stiffness.   I'm not sure whether or not those are symptoms of anxiety.  I guess they could be for some people but that's definitely something to talk to your doctor about.  Especially if you're having suicidal thoughts.

really bad neck stiffness and pain

I had similar problems a few years back and it turned out to be muscle spasms in my upper back. Muscle spams can be caused by anything including vomiting. I am no doctor though so you should probably see yours just to be sure. Good luck and feel better.
