please please need help b 4 baby completely loses interest in the breast milk
That's great that he is latching on now, try putting him to your breast very frequently. As much as he will let you. Maybe pumping a few moments to get a let down so he can start nursing as soon as he gets on, at least for a few times so he knows that there is something there. I remember feeling the same way you are feeling, I was very worried about my supply, also.
My lactation consultant recommended Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle to increase my milk supply. Make sure that you are eating a healthy diet and getting enough to drink.
Try to relax about it and sleep as much as you can, it seemed as if every time I took a good nap or had a really good sleep, my supply really built up. Sometimes I would just put the two of us in bed, and let my dd just drink and drink whenever she wanted. Be sure to be safe about it, though. If you are not used to co-sleeping, that might not be a good idea, especially if you are totally exhausted.
It's possible that you aren't getting much milk with the pump, but the baby is getting plenty. Some pumps are better than others. Do you have a lactation consultant or a supportive pediatrician? Sometimes they will weigh the baby, have you nurse, and then weigh the baby again to see how much the baby is getting.
Good luck, congratulations on the birth of your son. Read More At : ...
