chiropractors

Can chiropractors heal your back if you have a bulging disc? I have suffered over 6 years with sciatica.  I wear prothestics. I was told doctors no longer recommend invasive procedures like surgey, because it causes more damage. I receive some relief from decompression ( hanging upside down). It comes as no surprise that physical therapist recommended podiatry and better shoe inserts.I also get relief from streching and yoga.

chiropractor treatment

Hi there! Well, without the relevant clinical details or a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your pain. Possibilities that may need to be considered include neurological causes such as nerve impingement, muscular causes, postural issues, degeneration etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Meanwhile you may try some tylenol/ OTC NSAIDS and see if these are helpful for pain relief. Hope this helps. Take care!

Back pain and cracking noise

Consult your first CD. If that one is unavailable get referral by their office to reputable new CD. Quality of chiropractic care varies from state of the art to quacks. Your adjustment was to lumbar vertebra in lower back. Sacral vertebra (in pelvis) may have been "cracked" which would cause your symptoms.  Yes soft tissue (connective and muscle) are in that region and have to support whole upper body weight at critical pelvis connection to legs. Good luck and bend from the knees when bend down to relieve that source of pain.

Extremities and face tingling after seeing chiropractor?

Personally I wouldn't let a Chiropractor touch my neck, although I have had a couple neck surgeries, but even if I hadn't. It's just too dangerous. Go see your PCP and get a referral to a Spine specialist for an evaluation. Then maybe you can see a Physical Therapist or Osteopath that specializes in Neck and Back problems. I do see a Chiro for my low back and he's helped me tremendously, but neck's are a different ballgame.

Post chiropractic adjustment tingling.

It is possible that you have a ruptured disc in the neck pinching a nerve, causing the tingling. Although chiropractic is generally safe, it could have aggravated a ruptured disc. Before any more chiropractic treatments, have your regular physician evaluate you and consider an MRI of the neck.
