The diverticulum is not related to your cervical disc surgery.  But the pouching and difficulty swallowing could have stressed your neck muscles so they spasm and tighten.  If you can, after you have the endoscopy and know their findings and recommendations, you could see another ortho spine doc and ask for flexion/extension x-rays.  These may show why you have 'limited range of motion' now such as bone spurs, arthritis.  Is your fusion complete?  Did your surgeon take follow up x-rays to look for screw placement and plate location?  Have the symptoms that preceded your disc surgery resolve with the surgery?  Everyone is different in how long they need to fully recover.  But glad you did follow up with the Ba Swallow. What diagnosis did the PT person give you?  Do you have tight muscles?
