Acute Back And Neck Pain..

Hi there! You doctor is probably correct that the neck issues are due to spasm of the neck muscles possible secondary to inflammation. This would take time to clear up. I would suggest following the management plan suggested by your doctor meanwhile (rest and anti-inflammatory medications). You may initiate physiotherapy once the acute pain settles. Hope this is helpful. Take care!

What's causing this pain?

What is your Doctor's diagnosis, have they done anything for you besides the botox shots, did they help at all? Have you had any type of imaging tests done? If you haven't, you really need to have some x-rays or better yet, an MRI done. From what you said, it sounds like you should probably have the whole spine done. Once the problems are identified, a treatment plan can be formulated and you can be on your way to feeling better.

Cracking, popping neck pain...please help

Hi there! Well, without the relevant clinical details or a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to comment specifically on the situation. Degeneration and inflammation along with the auto-immune conditions could be a possible cause. I would suggest discussing the situation and the appropriate management plan in detail with your treating orthopedician/ rheumatologist. If in doubt you may seek a second opinion with another orthopedician. Hope this is helpful. Take care!

Lump in neck and back pain

Being 24 is no guarantee against pain. While you could be suffering from nervous tension or a broken neck, there is no way for anyone here to tell you what's wrong. You need to see a physician who can take a history, make a physical exam, and order tests if needed. Only then you can receive a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Best wishes to you.

pain in neck and lower back after a fall

Anyone who falls can experience any type of injury. You really should see a doctor and not let fear stop you. The doctor can prescribe you something help with your pain. Please go see a doctor and take control of the "not knowing" so you can relax. Your stress will just make things MUCH worse. You need a peace of mind. My father fell off a 5ft ladder and was lucky to survive he suffered major bruising and cracked rib. Also a month or so later he developed a hernia from it all in his groin area. So even though it is still serious there is much worse off. Most likely this can be treated and you can experience relief once you know what is causing the pain. Only one that can tell you is a doctor and some Xrays. :) All the Best ~Nichole
