That benzo has got to be tapered very slow and easy. Most important not to be in a hurry and to stabilize each cut until you're comfortable on that amount before moving to the next very small cut. Know that this won't happen overnight and you're going to be fine. You can do this!!

How many trams were you taking a day? tramadol is a slightly different animal than a basic narcotic....its like a souped up antidepressant in addition to a pain pill and that complicates things.....check out the Health Pages for a blog from EmilyPost on tramadol with many other members contributing.....just put her name in the search engine and read up some from other folks experience. Cold turkey isnt the way to stop tramadol...should be tapered because of the almost benzo type withdrawl.   Be safe. Dont tempt a siezure or worse.

There are professional places (like beauty parlors) that will comb the lice out for you.  I think one locally is called "Lice to See You" but there are doubtless others, probably more than one in any given area.  Get online and see if you can locate one.

need help! 6wks pregnant addicted to pain meds need to taper off no dr will help?

Hi Stacy! Welcome to our amazing forum. I just wanted to stop by and give you some love and send good vibes your way. I'm sorry but, I don't feel comfortable giving medical advice because I'm not a doctor or nurse. However, their are lots of incredible people on here who are in the medical field or they have more knowledge than I do when it comes to our addiction. Neways, I'm sorry to hear that no doctors want to help you. Maybe u can google doctors that can help you around your location? Please, keep checking your post. It's slow right now.

Hi~~ You will find alot of support here.  Try and change up your thinking.  Tell yourself you CAN and WILL get thru this.  I know it is rough but it is only for a short time.  There are things you can do to ease the symptoms.  Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids.  Supplements help as our body needs to be fed some good stuff.  Does anyone know about this?  Are you getting these pills from a doctor?

What state do you live? There are many free programs depending on what state you live in. Your son will eventually lose his job or worse...his life if he continues to use opiates. Its inevitable. Not detoxing because of fear of losing his job is an excuse to continue using. you said it yourself...he works just to pay for his habit. So in essence...his job is not necessary. If it were me and it was my son, I would tell him that he HAS to go to a program and I would help him find a free one. If its in another state...I would drive him there or pay for the bus ticket. Yes...I have kids. Yes...I struggled with addiction myself for many years so I kinda know how an addict thinks and what may or may not work. Im sure you've heard the term "enabler" are enabling him by letting him live in your home. Tell him you love him and will help him ONLY if hes willing to help himself. The job excuse is just excuse. Be a part of his recovery...not his addiction. If your close to CA, let me know. I will post a link of free programs. Good luck.

You'll find support here.  Give it a little time, it's early on a Sunday. You might get more information if you have more details.  You say you're very young.  How old are you?  Since you say you're wasting all your money, you must be getting the roxicet off the street and not from a doctor. There are many ways to get off them, and I'm sure you'll get good advice here.  I'm reluctant to give you my opinion because I'm on oxycodone for pain management through a doctor and I don't abuse them.  But I know I want to get off them at some point, and I read up on things here because it's filled with great information. Good luck.  You can do this!  And as I'm sure someone else will mention, you haven't been on them all that long and the dose you take is a lot less than some people, which will probably make any withdrawals a little shorter and not as bad as some. There are things you can take to help with it.  Look under the Health Pages and you'll find ideas to help with certain symptoms.  There's something called the Thomas Recipe that is supposed to help a lot. Again, there will be people with much more helpful information coming on and they'll be able to help you a lot more than I can.
