Back Pain

Just over a week ago I had a seizure and since then I've had a pain in my back which I believe is located on, or very close to, my spine. It hurts to move my upper back and shoulder blades so I haven't been able to exercise. I'm really starting to miss exercise but I won't be able to see a doctor about it for another week. Would exercising despite the pain be a bad idea?

Severe Mid-Back Pain, Yet No Apparent Cause?

Hey buddy, I had the exact same problem for many many years, i am now 27 and only just found something that helps my unexplained back pain. I was trying the normal pain killers like the opiods and although they helped the pain they also became quite addictive and i would "chase" that high you get when first taking them so i quit. I now take a drug called "lyrica" which helps neuro pain, now i have never been told i have neuro pain but these have helped me no end. They also conviently helped with my anxiety and nausea which was a nice bonus. Make sure you speak with your doctor about trying Lyrica and have a good chat with him because it can cause some bad side effects in a few people. Good luck i know the pain you are going through and i know it can be hard without actually knowing why you are getting pain.

Prolonged back pain

I get similar pains in my back and chest.  I do have two herniated discs in my neck and arthritis.  It gets worse when I exercise or try to lift anything with the upper body.  I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis, and really not given much help at all. I hope you find out what it is, if you do I would be interested to hear it.

Lower left back pain / Middle left back pain ?

Sounds like you might have compressed the sciatic nerve.  I had a similar situation when I lifted something.  I also found out I have a bulging disc at L4/L5 which is pinching some nerves.  It hurts worse when I ride in a vehicle for any length of time.  As long as I'm standing or moving I'm o.k.  I am currently in pain management, doing exercises, etc.  Not a whole lot you can do at this stage except treat the pain and try not to injure it further.  I'm told that eventually whatever is compressing the nerve will heal, unless you have injured something severely.  Probably need to tell your dr. and seek some help early on.

Back pain but everything is perfect

Ask to have a ct scan or an mri, it could possibly be a disc bulg since you mentioned radiating pain, which means a nerve is impinge in your back. Pull ups work the biceps primarily, and when combined with leg raise works abdominal, right? Extension exercises will ease it up, but have you tried abdominal exercises? If abdominal exercises hurts avoid as it only makes the pain worse. Try planking, works your core muscles with a correct spine alignment.

Back Pain / Nausea Weeks After Flu Shot

Hi there! These could be side effects of the flu vaccination. I would suggest rest for a few days. Tylenol/ OTC NSAIDS may also be helpful for symptomatic relief. If the symptoms do not seem to resolve in 7-10 days, you may seek a review with your treating doctor. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
