MRI results meaning?
Basically, as you probably noted, it says that an area was identified that could either be related to your recent surgery or could be a residual area of LCIS.
Is LCIS what was indicated in the pathloogy report from your biopsy? If so, this may be the source of of the apparent contradiction: although lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS) contains the word carcinoma, it is considered by some to be a cancer that has not spread beyond the lobules, and by others to be not really be a cancer, but a condition that increases the risk for cancer in the future.
However, no one can definitively explain the two different things you were told, EXCEPT THE PERSONS WHO SAID OR WROTE THEM, so those are the people to whom you should be addressing your question.
