Spinal fusion New MRI Results 7 Years later
You have degenerative disc disease at multiple level which causes pressure on the spinal nerves and hence the pain. The disease has progressed since 2006. Generally multiple vertebral joint involvement, disc bulges and other problems are managed conservatively. The treatment is a combination of pain killers, muscle relaxants, physiotherapy, manual therapy, hydrotherapy, and exercise. Most people respond to this. You could wear a lumbo-scaral corset or a cervico-thoracic corset while you are up and about (if pain is more in neck and arm region, opt for the cervico-thoracic). Do discuss this with your doctor. You need a pain relief program that incorporates a combination of the above mentioned treatments. Take care!
